In Noorbeek in the Limburg region the National Championships took place this weekend. Where the northern part of the Netherlands was sunny the South was tortured by pouring rain which changed the course partly in a slippery track.
“Due to a partly missed pre-season and also missed points for the general classification I had to start at the back of the peloton. On top of that the course narrowed pretty soon so I already lost a lot of time in the first half lap of the race. By keeping my own pace I cought up a lot of riders during the race and finally managed to finish at 5th spot.”, stated Brouwer. Winner Anne Terpstra managed to prolong her National title in Noorbeek
