A great weekend for KMC-Mitsubishi-Koga team with victories for Karen Brouwer and Robby de Bock and a second place for Bram Rood. Brouwer and Rood competed over 105 kilometres in in their first marathon of this season in Groesbeek. There was no one who could threaten Brouwer and she did even well between all male riders.
For Rood the race was more tense as he was in a four man lead group with later winner Jeroen Boelen, Gerben Mos and Bas Peeters. The latest left the race after a crash and Mos flattened and had to let go Boelen and Rood. In the end Rood also had to admit Boelen was to strong and second place was his share. One day earlier Robby de Bock managed to win an Eliminator MTB race in Kruibeke.
