Stefan Vreugdenhil wins the Westland MTB Challenge

The start of the beachrace season went not as planned for Stefan Vreugdenhil but race after race he managed to improve his results and he took the victory home today. In 2016 he also managed to win the first edition of the Westland MTB Challenge.

‘I was the only solo man in the leading group as there were two duo’s with Marc Kivits-Ronan van Zandbeek and Peter van Dijk-Nick van der Meer from the same team. Kivits and van Dijk escaped and and had a quite comfortable lead as I decided to jump to them. It took me some effort to catch them and afterwards I took time to recover for my final wining sprint. Next week we will race the final of the beachrace Topcompetition in Renesse. This final race suits me well.’, stated Vreugdenhil.
