Rood and Vreugdenhil start their final sprint

The 6th stage in TransAlp from Kaltern to Trento over 96 kilometres is the second longest stage. Bram Rood and Stefan Vreugdenhil showed with a 12th place that there spirit and shape are still of a high level. Markus Kaufmann and Jochen Käß took their 3th stage win and increased their lead in the general classification.

“It all went very well today in the longest stage to Trento. I feel I am improving and recovering from my crash on the first day. Nice to have the power back. Bram did a try to go for the mountain jersey today but at the moment we don’t know if he managed to catch that jersey. Tomorrow we will give everything in the last stage to Riva. Unfortunately TransAlp is already over after tomorrow.”, stated Stefan Vreugdenhil.
