Bram Rood and Gerben Mos managed to keep their third place in Cape Pioneer with a second place in stage five and third place in the final stage. On Friday they rode a strong race and they managed to increase their lead with more than ten minutes on duo Philip-Buis which were ranked at fourth place.
In the final stage to Oudtshoorn duo Philip-Buis managed to escape with their teammates and leaders in GC Mattys-Beukes. Rood and Mos just stayed calm and took their own pace as they knew their lead was comfortable on Philip-Buis. ‘Awesome to be on the podium here as we just met a few weeks before this race. We were very complementary this week and besides suffering during the stages we enjoyed this event and country.’, Stated Gerben Mos and Bram Rood. Duo Mattys-Beukes managed to win the 2015 edition of Cape Pioneer.
