At the moment Robby de Bock started his second stage in Transalp teammate Bram Rood stepped in the car to be driven back home. Rood his injured knee will be checked in hospital tomorrow. For de Bock the challenge will be to be one of the first solo riders and maybe try to get the climbers jersey one day.
‘Today we had a flat start of the route after which we had to climb for thousand metres. From top we took a rooty forest down to Saalbach where we had our first provision point. Then again a slightly climbing part followed by the climb to Medalscharte at more than two thousand metres altitude with a great view followed by a more than twelve kilometres long descend. The last part of this stage to Mittersill was almost flat.’, Stated de Bock.
