In the Houffa marathon in Belgium Houffalize Ramses Bekkenk and Karen Brouwer both just came to short for victory and took second place. Bekkenk crossed the finish line after 120 kilometres just behind Joris Massaer. Teammate Bram Rood had to deal with some mechanical problems and was not able to battle for podium places.
