Karen Brouwer wins in Sundern and finishes second in Havelte

Karen Brouwer had a great weekend with her win in the 100 kilometer long SKS marathon in Germany and a second place in the cross country race in Havelte. The second race was a challenge as she could still feel the effort of a day before. After a hard start she found her pace and only winner Laura Turpijn was stronger.

The day before the marathon in Germany existed of two laps of 50 kilometers. The first lap Brouwer was in a fast group with some shelter as the second lap was almost a solo race with rain in the last 20 kilometers. So in the end a muddy but happy Karen crossed the finish line.
