After her victory in Graftshaft last week, Karen Brouwer was the strongest rider in Zierenberg today as well. Again a very muddy marathon, this time over 106 kilometres and 2560 altimeters
‘It was a great marathon with a tough second round, but luckily I managed to stay in first place’, stated Brouwer. Team member Bram Rood finished second behind Mathias Frohn, who got away in one of the last climbs and won the marathon with an advantage of no more than 20 seconds.
