Ivan Rybarik wins today’s stage and Greg Saw again defends his overall lead in the International Crocodile Trophy on the 101km stage from Skybury Coffee Plantation to the historic Wetherby Cattle Station. Ramses Bekkenk tried to go for a stage win but the circumstances were not in his favour and he finished on 5th place.
Today I attacked from the start because I wanted to give everything to win this stage. Today´s stage was relative flat and we had a strong head wind so not ideal to get away from the other guys. I tried several time but did not succeed to get a gap but at least I tried.”, stated Bekkenk.
