Victory for Teus Ruijter in Oppenhausen, Germany

After a good Swiss Epic, there was another race for Teus Ruijter today with the Gallahaan Trail marathon over 90 kilometers and 2500 meters of altitude. After riding for an hour and a half with two breakaway companions, he left them behind on some steep climbs and soloed to victory in a time just under four hours.

“I came back from the Swiss Epic in good shape and then took a rest. It went well from the start today, but I got some stomach problems halfway through and was pretty empty by the end. As a result, the German Mathias Frohn came close, but luckily I kept enough time to take the victory.’, says Ruijter.
