Just like in the 2022 edition, this year there was also a strong storm during the beach race in Renesse and there was a turbulent but exciting race. The beachrace was reduced from 72 to 56 kilometers on the Zeeland beach with start and finish at the beach pavilion the Port of Renesse.
“After the turning point, I was in the lead with Michelle de Graaf and working well together we also went into the second lap. In the final I unfortunately had to let Michelle go with tailwind on a tough part of the course.’, says Slik. Mariëlle Trouwborst completed the podium in third place.
Ramses Bekkenk rode a strong race and was part of the five-man leading group that battled for victory. Unfortunately he had to deal with bad luck and missed a short classification in his favourite race. Martin Schuttert and Gerben Mos were in a chasing group and came in fifteenth and nineteenth.
