Today’s stage went over 78 kilometres of which 18 neutralized from Lake Tanaroo to Atherton. In the centre of Atherton it really started with 3 laps through the built Atherton Forest Mountainbike Park with in the end a great 2th place for Bekkenk.
“Today’s winner David Rosa from Portugal was outstanding. We had a quit extreme cross country track today and I managed to move up from the start but the first place never came within reach.”, stated Bekkenk.
