Bram Rood second in last stage Titan Desert

Yesterday all leaders in general classification including Bram lost a lot of time in 5th stage as they could not find Check Point 4. Today Bram showed with his 2th place that he would have been one of the favourites for a podium place but after the disappointing 5th stage he was not even more in top 10. His only left aim was to go for another win in the last stage but after a long chase on leaders Pedro Trujillo en Oscar Pereiro he finished 7 seconds behind winner Trujillo. Ramses Bekkenk and Stefan Vreugdenhil arrived at 13th and 32th place in Maadid

‘I was very disappointed after the chaotic stage 5 over 102 kilometer to Merzouga where we were not able to find Check Point 4. In the evening I managed to reset my mindset and we decided to give it all in the last stage and to go for another win. A pity that I just didn’t manage to win that last stage. Now just an nice last evening and tomorrow we will fly back heading for new adventures.’, stated Rood. Ramses Bekkenk ended on a 10th place as best general classified KMC-Mitsubishi-Koga biker.
