A good weekend for KMC team at the isle Ameland wit a second place for Stefan Vreugdenhil in the beachrace. Ramses Bekkenk finished fourth and kept his leadersjersey. The prologue before the beachrace was won by Gerben Mos in front of teammate Bart Barkhuis. Mos also won combi classification of prologue and beachrace in which teammate Martin Schuttert finished third. 
‘Unfortunately my rear tire lost pressure so I was not able to sprint with later winner Bram Imming for victory. I had to give all to keep my second place. Next week we have the final race for General Classification in Castricum. One week later we race in Scheveningen so two chances left to win a race. Afterwards we will start our mountainbike season.’, stated Vreugdenhil.
