Rain, cold and a harsh wind made the second race for the Eneco beachrace competition a though one. With frontwind from the start almost complete peloton headed tot the turning point. From there on all riders had a supporting tailwind and it were Bekkenk, Rood and Sven Broekaart who managed to escape from the peloton. Rood and Bekkenk worked together to increase their leading position. Unfortunately they did not manage to take victory home as Broekaart just beated Bekkenk at the finish line. KMC-Mitsubishi-Koga teammmember StefanVreugdenhil who was part of the chasing group took seventh place. With his second place Bekkenk stays the leader in beachrace competition as well.
