The air in the Alps works well on Robby as he is improving every day. His challenge is not to be the first solo rider but to look where he is positioned compared to the topriders. Today he had a very good day which would have been good for ninth place in the duo classification.
‘Todays stage from Sllian to Alleghe was over almost 90 kilometres in which we also had to climb to over 2400 metres. I had quit good legs today and was able to follow people which I had to let go in the first stages. This brought me in the casing group as we arrived at the first feed zone. Although I am not in the duo classification anymore I want to see where I am compared to the top teams. Especially as Bram was much stronger than I was on our first day. ’,stated de Bock.
