Karen Brouwer had a great weekend as she managed to win the 105 kilometer long SKS mountainbike marathon in German Sauerland. In 2015 she won this race in Sundern as well. In the first part of the race it didn’t look so good for Brouwer. 
‘In the first lap of 55 kilometers I could not find the right rhythm. It shortly passed my mind to do the short distance race and take the route to the finish line. A good choice I didn’t do this as in the second part of the race I could really push the pedals again and crossed the line in first position’, stated Brouwer.
