Karen Brouwer and Bram Rood 4th and 5th in ‘Groesbeek Hell’

Shortly after the beachrace- and cross season, Bram Rood and Karen Brouwer started preparing for a new season of marathon racing. In the fast, 106 kilometres long marathon in Groesbeek competitors had to master over 2000 altimeters. Although Bram Rood could not yet compete for the win, he was highly satisfied with a fifth placing. Hans Becking finished first. Karen Brouwer, recovering from a knee injury, chose to compete in the 70 kilometre race and came in fourth, after Monique Zeldenrust. Next week Brouwer will race the Kellerwald marathon in Germany’s Gilserberg.
