With a third place behind Puck Pinxt and Tirza Wisse, Mariëlle Trouwborst today secured the overall victory in the BAM beach race competition 2023/2024.
“After a crash in the last lap, I lost contact with the other women and ended up riding alone with a strong headwind to the final turning point. I tried to reconnect with the group, but unfortunately I was unable to do so. Fortunately, the overall victory in the rankings was not jeopardized by this third place. It was a great season with many victories. Now first I have to refuel and then there are some gravel and road races on my program.”, says Trouwborst.
