She knew upfront it would be her longest race ever but afterwards with 7 hours 27 minutes and 39 seconds it was not as long as expected. Not often Brouwer had to dig so deep as today but that’s no wonder with 130 kilometers to ride and 4500 altimeters to gain! 
‘The temperature to race was okay today but after a few hours we had a tormential rain combined with a stormwind. Luckily it did not last so long and we could continue the race under normal circumstances. The last part of the race was most downhill so I could keep my speed quite good till the finish line.’, stated Brouwer.
