Rood ended in the chasing group and is now on 4th place in general classification. Ramses Bekkenk is suffering from his crash in first stage with brushed ribs and shoulder and arrived on 19th place. Stefan Vreugdenhil had to deal with mechanical problems and lost a lot of time at rank 85.
‘Things still go very well and I think I am still at 4th place in general classification with still podium within reach. But you have to be realistic as in these kind of hard races something can happen and you drop in the classification. Luckily I have two very strong teammates at my side. Stefan carried all my luggage in 3th stage and Ramses provides me with full bottles. Tomorrow we will have a new challenge as we will ride with a roadbook which means the stage will not be pointed out.’, stated Rood
