In Petten, Mariëlle Trouwborst finished the beach race season with a victory, beating Puck Pinxt and Silje Bader. On the technical circuit with lots of loose sand and short climbs, she attacked on one of the climbs and managed to pull away from her rivals. KMC teammate Rozanne Slik finished fifth. Trouwborst now has a rest period planned, after which she will prepare for the 6-day gravel race Garden Route Giro in South Africa, scheduled for April.
