\u2018When I rode away, I didn’t go all out because there were four men chasing me. I wanted to save some reserve in case they caught me again. Fortunately, the group fell apart and it became a man-to-man fight. So when Diepstra rejoined me, I knew the win was still within reach. In the woods before the finish, I managed to ride away and arrive solo. Last year I lost this race in the final corner, so it is all the more satisfying to win today,\u2019 said De Vries.
