Only Thalita de Jong was just a little too strong for Trouwborst in the final. Wendy Oosterwoud completed the podium by finishing third after more than five hours of competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rain in the days leading up to the race made it a tough race and that suits me. It was now more every woman for himself instead of a tactical race. I first took the lead with Tessa Neefjes, with a few ladies shortly behind us. Tessa dropped out of the front and in the meantime I formed the &#8216;leading group&#8217; with Thalita de Jong.
