Strong winds, rain and a tough technical round of 10 kilometres, which had to be covered four times: all ingredients for a great but challenging race. Still, the first beachraces did not go too bad. The race on Texel actually went quite good, until I got a flat tyre. Today I felt stronger again and soon took the lead in the race together with Janssen. Since sprinting is not my best quality, I was not surprised to see Janssen win the sprint and therefore the race. For me, most important is to know I am getting in shape.
